Dairy Queen Teams Up With Girl Scouts Again to Create Tagalong and Thin Mint Blizzards

— Dairy Queen®, the treat category leader, proudly announces that it has renewed a licensing agreement with Girl Scouts of the USA. The agreement brings together the iconic Blizzard® Flavor Treat and Girl Scouts for a summer of blockbuster Blizzard Treats, including the debut of the Girl Scouts Tagalongs® Peanut Butter Patties Blizzard Treat and the return of the Girl Scouts Thin Mint Cookie Blizzard Treat.
Dairy Queen will introduce the Tagalongs® Peanut Butter Patties Blizzard as the featured Blizzard of the Month for July and bring back Thin Mint Cookie during August.
"We have a great relationship with Girl Scouts and are thrilled to be partnering with them again this year," said Michael Keller, chief brand officer for International Dairy Queen, Inc. "The Thin Mint Blizzard was amazingly successful and we expect the Tagalongs® Peanut Butter Patties Blizzard to be a home run as well."
Last summer, Dairy Queen served more than ten million Girl Scouts Thin Mint Cookie Blizzard Treats, making it the most popular limited-time-offer flavor in Blizzard history.
"This is big news for Girl Scouts," said Laurel Richie, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Girl Scouts of the USA. "The Girl Scout cookie program has always focused on teaching girls valuable life skills, while providing insight about what it takes to make a business work. Our partnership with Dairy Queen presents a learning experience for our girls, strengthens our ties to local communities and creates two sweet treats people are sure to love."
